Livingcity targets commercial landlords

LIVINGCITY, the Manchester-based property management business, is planning to expand its work with the owners of commercial buildings.
The business already manages around 400,000 sq ft of commercial space in mixed-use buildings but its main focus is residential property.
It works for groups such as Peel Holdings, Muse Developments and ING Real Estate managing sites with around 4,000 tenants across the North including the Hacienda apartments, the Green Quarter, and Royal Mills in Manchester.
Now managing director Mark Gallimore is looking to work with more private and institutional owners of commercial buildings.
He said: “We’ve worked for 12 years in difficult asset management scenarios and we’re going to turn this resource into a service that commercial property owners can buy in to.
“We want to expand the client base and wrap in private property companies, family trusts, and high net worth individuals – people that may be disregarded by the larger managing agents.
“We want to give a level of property asset management that takes away all their fears and worries, a total package. We’re geared up to do that.”
He added: “We’re actively talking to various property owners that have asked us whether we will consider looking after their portfolios.”
Livingcity employs around 30 people at its office in Ardwick and a further 100 on site. Before starting the company Mr Gallimore was a director at Castlemere Properties in Altrincham.
