Apposing snaps up London rival

LIVERPOOL-based mobile developer Apposing has bought the London app company Swipe & Tap.

Apposing described the deal as a “leap forward” which will widen its creative output and industry expertise. It will boost staff numbers to 14.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Apposing, which has also opened an office in Camden Town, designed apps for a string of major clients last year, including Nando’s, Carphone Warehouse and sofa retailer CSL.

Founder and managing director Dave Brown said: “The provision of cutting edge solutions for our clients is paramount to the studio’s growth and standing. We’re excited to announce this acquisition and the tremendous benefit to Apposing’s roster.

“The combination of the two businesses will add significant value for our client base and in particular our futures department. Giving the Apposing team increased freedom to create cutting edge, future-proof solutions will generate a powerful enterprise offering.”
