Driver Group maintains growth and strong trading

LANCASHIRE construction and engineering consultancy Driver Group has maintained its strong start to the year and has continued to open offices in key locations.

The Rawtenstall-based company, which operates globally, said it had opened bases in Aberdeen, Brisbane and Munich in the last few months and is also close to opening in Canada.

Chairman, Alan McClue, will tell shareholders at the companyy’s annula meeting: “The Aberdeen and Brisbane offices provide direct access to significant oil and gas projects in conjunction with our office in Houston, Texas.

“Our operations in Africa and the Middle East continue the momentum of the previous financial year with very strong order books and the European Region, boosted by the successfully completed integration of Trett, is performing at the top end of our expectations.”

Mr McClue said the group’s strong start had continued into the second quarter.

He added: “Given the strong trading of the company and particularly our three largest regions of Europe, Middle East and Africa, I look forward to the remainder of the year with a high degree of optimism.”
