Highcross spends £10m on Genesis

PROPERTY fund manager Highcross has acquired the Genesis Centre in Warrington from London-based Development Securities for £10m.
The 95,000 sq ft, three-storey office building at Birchwood Business Park, is 75% occupied. Tenants include Invensys, Merseyside Police and Puma.
Highcross director Richard Pellatt said: “The Genesis Centre is a timely and significant addition to our north west office portfolio. We remain keen to acquire properties in established business locations close to major transport links and which provide active asset management opportunities.
“With over 40 tenants and three major motorways only minutes away, the Genesis Centre ticks all the boxes and we are looking forward to bedding it into our portfolio.”
The centre has 65 self-contained suites, ranging in size from 370 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft. Highcross, which has its head office in Newbury and a regional base in Manchester, has 15 million sq ft of office and industrial space in its portfolio.
