Appointments: Dow Schofield Watts; SAS Daniels & more

NORTH WEST corporate finance house Dow Schofield Watts has strengthened its team with two new hires.
The Daresbury-based group has appointed Jessica Edwards and Gregg Pendlington as coporate finance executives. Mr Pendlington was previously a partner at Manchester based HW Corporate Finance, while Jessica Edwards joins from RBS’ Global Restructuring Group, in London.

REGIONAL law firm SAS Daniels has hired insolvency lawyer Paul Formby as an associate in its dispute resolution team.
Mr Formby, spent 10 years with DWF, and has joined the Cheshire firm with a brief to develop and grow the practice.
He said: “I’m delighted to be joining such an ambitious, dynamic company. I was inspired by the challenge of building a dedicated insolvency offering in what can be a demanding market, but I believe that my experience, coupled with SAS Daniels’ reputation, will be a successful combination for the practice.”
Chris MacCafferty, head of dispute resolution and a partner at SAS Daniels, said “We have on-going plans to grow the dispute resolution team in the coming 12 months, following our fantastic growth of 60 per cent last year. MANCHESTER-based SCP Transport Consultants have appointed Geoff Bowman as its regional director of Yorkshire.
He has worked in the highways and transport planning sector in Yorkshire for the past 30 years, and is a chartered engineer and is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
SCP director David Roberts said: “Geoff’sexcellent experience and sound knowledge of the Leeds and Yorkshire marketplace will undoubtedly be a great asset.”

DTE Business Advisers has appointed chartered accountant, Tom Astbury as an executive in its corporate finance division, growing the team to six.
Corporate finance partner Matt Beckley said; “The addition of Tom to the team follows a successful 2012 and a very busy start to 2013 and reflects our confidence and commitment to growing the corporate finance team in Manchester.”
Mr Astbury starts his new role on Monday and will be based at DTE’s office on Parsonage Gardens.
