FutureEverything moves to MSP

MANCHESTER Science Partnerships has signed up FutureEverthing to an office at its Oxford Road campus.

The organisation, which carries out research and organises an annual digital culture festival, has taken 2,400 sq ft at the BASE building, formerly known as Hillel House.

It has moved from Edge Street in the city centre.

FutureEverything said the move would allow it to grow to 14 staff as it expands and diversifies. As well as the festival it now provides advice and training, art commissions, and data services.

Current projects include EUPORIAS, a European Commission-backed initiative that involves working with the Met Office and international climate science organisations to develop a new industry of climate services, and ArtsAPI, a year-long research and project to develop a new web application for arts organisations.

Chief executive Drew Hemment said: “Manchester Science Partnerships is all about having the access to inspirational people and new thinking. What attracted us to choose MSP for our next step forward was the opportunity to join and be a part of a community and a cluster of businesses who are doing incredible work at the forefront of science and innovation. This can only benefit our future growth and development.”

The 20th anniversary FutureEverything Festival will be held on February 26-28.
