Work starts on new Momentum

LANCASHIRE-based Roundhouse Properties is out to repeat its Momentum Business Centre model with a new development at Bamber Bridge, Preston.
Planning permission has been granted for the 2.3 acre site to develop 43 business units with flexible office and industrial space, ranging from 636 sq ft specifically designed for small to medium sized businesses.
The new centre follows Roundhouse’s Momentum project at Buckshaw Village near Chorley which became fully occupied just four months after it was completed in October.
Work on phase one of the development has already started and is expected to be complete in the summer.
Roundhouse says the new Momentum project will be well-placed, near to Roundhouse Properties’ flagship South Rings Office Village and South Preston Office Village schemes.
Director Jeremy Lefton said: “Following the success of our Momentum Business Centre models, we wanted torepeat the formula with the development of Bamber Bridge, operating in an area that is in line for fast track growth.
“Lancashire has tremendous opportunities for growth and development , and the new centre provides an excellent location with immediate access to the main motorway networks, linking to the region’s largest cities and towns.
“All our developments try to focus on three key attributes – location, flexibility and affordability. This approach has proved extremely successful, giving occupants the platform to grow and succeed.”
Roundhouse is again working with building contractor J Waring and Sons backed by Partington Associates providing the architectural and structural services.
