Recruitment firm snaps up rival

BURNLEY-based recruitment provider Neville Gee has been acquired by Salford rival Ideal Recruit from an undisclosed sum.
Accountants and business advisers Cowgill Holloway, with offices in Manchester and Bolton, helped broker the deal.
Nevill Gee, which has 12 staff, has been filling temporary and permanent job vacancies across the engineering and technical, industrial, financial, sales and aerospace sectors for more than 40 years.
Ideal Recruit, which also has 12 staff, places candidates across the business and industrial sectors throughout the UK and works from offices on Salford Quays, this is its first acquisition in their buy and build strategy in the recruitment sector.
The company says the purchase of Neville Gee means it can now drive the business forward to achieve their ambition to become a UK leading provider of interim and fixed term contract staff.
Both firms will continue to operate from their current bases.
The vendors were advised by law firm Fielden Marshall Glover Strutt, while the buyers were advised by solicitors Bowcock Cuerden LLP. Funding for the deal was provided by Bibby Financial Services.
