Gym firm ripe for expansion after two years

A GYM company based in Merseyside which launched its first facility two years ago has launched its second fitness centre.

Newton le Willows firm i-motion gym launched its first outlet in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and after returning profits for first time, managing director Gareth Evans has opened a second gym in Stafford.

The new gym is a 21,840sq ft facility spread over three floors in the Guildhall Shopping Centre, Market Square, and includes three studios.

Evans said: “Over the past two years our company and brand has evolved.

“I have looked at many sites throughout the UK, both buildings for conversion and existing trading gyms which are for sale.

“In summer the board and I shifted the focus onto new sites and with this new momentum and funding in place for several new gyms, we identified Stafford.”
