Payzone moves into Highbank House

CUSTOMER payments specialist Payzone has taken space at Orbit Developments’ Highbank House in Stockport town centre.

The company now occupies 9,000sq ft across the fourth and fifth floors of the property close to Stockport train station on Exchange Street.

The company has installed the latest dialling equipment within the smartly modernised call centre environment – creating the perfect workplace setting for its team of telemarketing executives.

Each team player enjoys a space with carefully planned acoustic, comfort and brand considerations.

Payzone has a heritage of 25 years and a UK HQ in Northwich, Cheshire and has opened its Stockport-based satellite office to create an additional centre of excellence for telemarketing.

Some 80 Payzone jobs are currently based in Stockport and due to the success of the move, there are already plans for further recruitment.

Its connection to both BT Openreach and Virgin – and the affordable high speed broadband it offers – has further strengthened the appeal of Highbank House.

Andrew McCann head of contact centres at Payzone, said: “We specialise in providing payment solutions for SMEs, enabling all sorts of businesses and convenience stores to accept debit and credit card payments to help drive footfall and sales.

“Our potential customer base is ever expanding and developing so it is important that we are as connected, agile and skilled as possible. And because we’re on an accelerated growth plan – with the aim of becoming a leading player in the card payment market – it was important to find an office facility that can grow with us.

“We worked in partnership with Orbit to find the best solution to our expansion requirements. They provided the most excellent and understanding customer service and they we most flexible to our needs. They just got it.”

Tony Jones, managing director of Orbit Developments, said: “We are delighted to welcome Payzone as customers. The company is truly committed to creating the right working environment – understanding its importance and impact on staff satisfaction, performance and commercial success.”
