PZ Cussons appoints new non-exec director

MANCHESTER-based consumer products group PZ Cussons has announced Jez Maiden as its new non-executive director from November 1.
Maiden is group finance director of Croda International, the FTSE100 global speciality chemicals company.
He has previously held similar positions at National Express Group, Northern Foods and British Vita and was until last year senior independent director and chair of the audit committee of Synthomer.
Maiden will chair the company’s audit and risk committee with effect from January 1 2017 when the incumbent, Caroline Silver, becomes chair of the company.
Professor John Arnold, who has been a non-executive director since 2006, will retire from the board on December 31.
PZ Cussons chairman Richard Harvey said: “We are delighted to announce Jez’s appointment.
“He has held various senior finance positions throughout his career to date and is also an experienced non-executive director. He is an excellent addition to our board.”
“I would also like to thank John Arnold for the significant contribution which he has made over his time with the business.”
