Daisy hungry for more deals
AIM-listed business communications said it was trading in line with market expectations and is looking for more acquisitions.
The Nelson, Lancashire, company said in a trading update ahead of December’s interim results announcement that it had made good progress in integrating its most recent purchases into the business.
It said the new businesses, notably Fone Logistics and Murphx Innovative Solutions, had both been bedded-in to Daisy’s mobile distribution and wholesale divisions respectively, and are operating in line with management targets.
Fone Logistics’ operation in Cramlington in the North East has been vacated and the business moved to Ipswich, while Murphx which is based in Hampshire, has extended Daisy’s product portfolio including business broadband, Ethernet and leased line connectivity, virtual private networks, hosting, IP transit and cloud computing.
Looking ahead the company said: “The group remains committed to its buy and build strategy and will continue to target further synergistic opportunities to grow the business.”
Daisy also announced that non-executive director Ian Butcher is leaving the board to pursue his own business interests in property development.
