A LANCASHIRE creative marketing agency has invested £350,000 in a photographic and video studio.

Workhouse Marketing, which is based in Ribchester in the Ribble Valley, was backed by The Royal Bank of Scotland in its expansion plan.

The 3,500 sq ft purpose built studio allows Workhouse, which has 20 staff, to expand its range of services to include ‘video for web’ and photographic production.

The studio, which has taken six months to build, is of the most modern in Lancashire.

Workhouse was established 17 years ago and is a full service marketing agency with clients throughout the UK.  Its services include advertising, design, copywriting, PR, e-marketing, new media and event management.

The new facilities allow Workhouse to bring its photographic and video requirements in-house instead of subcontracting them.

Managing director Mark Jones said: “Our goal is to build a centre of marketing excellence in the Ribble Valley which can serve businesses throughout Lancashire and beyond.”

The company serves a number of diverse sectors, including education, tourism, the public sector and consumer industries.

Funding for the new studio was provided by RBS and its asset finance arm Lombard.

Simon Gill, a relationship manager at RBS, added: “Workhouse is a well established local business which has achieved a great deal in a competitive market.  The new studio facilities will undoubtedly benefit the business and provide future opportunities for growth.”
