Frank Whittle signed up for Tebay extension

ARCHITECT the Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP) has been appointed by service station group Westmorland to deliver the next phase of improvement works at its Tebay North services in Cumbria.

The practice is already handling the company’s £30m scheme on the M5 near Gloucester which was granted planning permission in the summer.

The work at Tebay is being carried out in two phases with the second part due for completion later this year.

Kate Shuttleworth, partner at FWP, said: “The new dining extension is to accommodate growing business and customer demands at the popular Westmorland Service Station. The idea is to upgrade the north side to improve the customer offer in line with the southern side.

“The scheme is also looking to enhance sustainability where possible and improve energy efficiency.”
