Blackley filling station sold

A PETROL filling station in Blackley, north Manchester, has been sold off an asking price of £425,000.
The station, which is on Rochdale Road – one of the main arterial routes into the city – contains a Texaco-branded filing station, a forecourt, jet wash and shop.
The freehold has been bought by an existing retail operator who has sold a convenience store business in Bolton who was keein to get into the filling station market. The previous owner had run the station for around 12 years.
Martin Thompson, who handled the sale at Christie + Co, commented: “We found an ideal first time purchaser for the business and the new operator is looking to revamp the site.”
