Sales continue to improve at Renold

INDUSTRIAL group Renold has seen a steady improvement in sales.

In an interim management statement the listed company, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chains, said sales and market conditions have continued to improve.

Renold, which has its global headquarters in Wythenshawe, south Manchester and has manufacturing operations in Bredbury and Milnrow, said it expects the positive sales trend established in the six months to September 30 to continue.

“At that time it was noted that market conditions had improved across all of our areas of operation with additional incremental gains in market share during the first half and that we expected the sales trends established in the first half to continue,” said the company.

“Since that date, trading has increased in line with the board’s expectations. There have been no significant changes in the position of the company over the period since the publication in November 2010 of its half year statement.”
