PochinRische refurbs Puss In Boots

POCHINRISCHE, the joint venture between Cheshire-based Pochin’s PLC and Trafford Park-based fit out consultant, Rische Group, has completed a £375,000 refurbishment of the Puss in Boots pub at Offerton, near Stockport.

PochinRische was appointed to conduct the fit-out by local brewer Frederic Robinson and completed the work in just six weeks.

The pub had previously been closed for many years and was acquired by the Almond family in September 2009. The pub had enjoyed success in the 1980’s, however had been left to deteriorate, and was in need of major refurbishment to bring it in line with modern tastes.

On the refurbishment, owner Doug Almond said: “The new offering is very different to the ‘disco pub’ it was back in the 80’s. We wanted to combine a friendly yet professional service, offering wholesome food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.”

Antony Pochin, operations director for Pochin Special Projects, said: “We were given a specific brief to enhance the curb-appeal of Puss in Boots in order to encourage passing trade and present an image of a family-friendly, contemporary pub.

“We are proud of our continued involvement with Frederic Robinson and their rolling programme of new build and refurbishment works across the region.”
