Pulp adds to NW retail mix

NEW lifestyle retailer Pulp opened its first North West store last weekend.

The shop in the Manchester Arndale centre, sells fashion, fashion accessories, books, shoes, CD/DVD’s, homewares, funky gifts, greeting cards, stationery, bags and other items.

The small, independent chain has shops in Derby and Nottingham.

Joint director Ian Hopkins, says:  “Pulp was born out of the increasing influence that music and popular culture has on youth market and their fashion/gifting purchases. In an increasingly bland retail landscape, Pulp is a shot in the arm and offers Manchester something you won’t find in any other store.”

“We had a great opening weekend with strong sales despite it being very hot weather and the FA Cup Final.

“The first couple of days beat our expectations and the store is attracting a lot of attention, we’re very excited about what the future holds for us,” Mr Hopkins added.
