NW Business Masters: Journey9 aims for Newcomer title

MARKETING  agency Journey9 UK is hoping to crown an impressive first year with success in the North West Business Masters awards.

The Manchester-based company, launched in January 2010 by entrepreneur Laura Wolfe, is in the running for the honour in the Newcomer category.

Nominations are still open for TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Business Masters awards which take place at The Point at Lancashre County Cricket Club on April 7. Click here to enter.

The North West Business Masters aims to recognise the people and the businesses who have made a real difference to the region.

Journey9UK, which has just celebrated its first birthday, has already picked up some major clients including Jaguar, BDO and United Utilities. It was profitable after just a few months and employs four people and is recruiting two more.

The highlight of the first year was the high profile Manchester Celebrates Jaguar campaign for the car brand last May.

During the month Journey9 UK delivered or supported 19 events attended by over 4,500 people and sourced 200 test drives.

It also commissioned a short film for Jaguar, which saw Hollywood director Derrrick Borte shoot in Tatton Park.

Jaguar UK said it was delighted with the campaign. Partnerships manager Alexandra Rowne said: “The results speak for themselves. Thanks to Journey9’s  hard work the campaign was a massive success.”
