Appointments: NetPlay gets Jones as non-exec; Communications manager at alldayPA
NETPLAY TV, the Lancaster-based the interactive gaming company, has appointed Clive Jones as non-executive chairman.

NETPLAY TV, the Lancaster-based the interactive gaming company, has appointed Clive Jones as non-executive chairman.

Mr Jones, 60, is also currently non-executive chairman of GMTV and a non-executive director of S4C, as well as governor of the National Film and Television School.

He has held a number of prestigious roles in the media industry such as chief executive of both ITV News and Carlton UK Television, and managing director of Central Television, and the London News Network.

The company said the appointment underpins its goal to become a leading media business and added it is well positioned to deliver revenue generating programming to broadcasters as well as continue to develop further Internet and mobile games. 
 
Martin Higginson, chief executive, said: “I’d like to welcome Clive to the NetPlay TV board. He brings with him a wealth of experience in terms of his management skills, corporate governance and his connections in the media world.
 
“Over the past two years we have proved that interactive live gaming can work and we’re now ready to roll out our successful formats to new broadcasters and partners alike.”

MANCHESTER-based alldayPA, which provides 24-hour web enabled call answering for businesses, has appointed Gemma Harding as communications manager.

Ms Harding will be responsible for promoting the company’s range of services for SMEs, business development and will act as the company’s spokesperson.

In addition, she will work alongside the sales and marketing team to promote alldayPA’s packages, which include holiday and sickness cover, out of hours call answering and switchboard services, to potential clients.

Ms Harding, said: “AlldayPA has a great management team in place and I’m looking forward to working closely with them to help build on the success of the company.”
