Sharp Project unveils more space

THE Sharp Project media centre in East Manchester has released 30,000 sq ft of new office and studio space.
The site, based at the former Sharp Electronics warehouse off Oldham Road, has an extra 28 units ranging in size from 500-1,300 sq ft.
It is the third development phase at the Sharp Factory which is already home to around 25 small companies specialising in digital content production, digital media and production for TV and film.
Director Sue Woodward said: “Companies however big or small can take advantage of all the facilities on site including the social space, bar and lobby. What’s emerging is a community for digital production specialists. We’re providing the space, power and connectivity to allow all our businesses to flourish under one roof.”
The £16.5m refurbishment has been funded by Manchester City Council, the Northwest Regional Development Agency and the European Regional Development Fund.
