High street giant turns to Beyond the Box

NORTH West retail training and field marketing specialist Beyond The Box, has won a £500,000 contract to work with high street giant DSGi – parent company of Currys and PC World.
The company based in Hazel Grove, Stockport, is leading an intensive product knowledge and sales skills coaching programme for the retailer, focused on its major product categories of vision, audio, domestic appliances, computing, imaging, sat navs and communication.
More than 500 staff have already taken the course ahead of the end of the contract in November.
Chris Barrell of DSGi comments; “Electrical purchases can often be confusing for the customer. This new training programme will equip our store colleagues with the necessary knowledge to improve customer service by enabling more informed purchase choices.
“The programme has been extremely worthwhile and the improvement in staff and customer interaction is having a measurable impact in our stores nationwide.”
Christine Knott, managing director of Beyond The Box elaborates; “We have worked closely in the past with DSGi store personnel, and we are already seeing some great results to date.
“It is also exciting to have extended our current team by a further 16 trainers, to meet the project demands.”
