Three firms secure finance and plan growth

THREE North West firms have secured finance to support future growth.
An East Lancashire business which makes electric golf trolleys has secured a £250,000 working capital facility from NatWest to help support a seasonal increase in the demand for its products.
Greenhill Technologies, based in Borrowford, near Nelson, plans to use the funding to increase its stock levels prior to the start of the summer golf season, when demand is high.
Greenhill now produces six different types of trolley, each of which can be personalised and these are sold via a network of stockists in the UK and Europe.
Liverpool-based Mortimore Enterprises, which provides training to the construction industry, has received £50,000 from the Merseyside Special Investment Fund through the North West Regional Development Agency’s (NWDA) Small Loan for Business scheme.
It plans to use the cash to fund a new training base for 30 apprentices and take on additional staff. The company was set up in 2001 by founding director Jonathan Mortimore.
In Morecambe digital printing company Printed Space plans to double its 12-strong workforce after introducing a new product line with the support of a £50,000 Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) loan from Lloyds TSB Commercial.
Printed Space, based on Borrowdale Business Park, specialises in printing digital images onto canvasses, blinds and wall coverings. It caters for both private and commercial customers, having worked with clients such as Jet2.com, Toyota and Specsavers.
Husband and wife team Kristian and Michelle Holt started in the printing industry as a partnership in 2004, and founded Printed Space as a limited company eight months ago.
