Property Round-up: TSK; Segro disposal; Shaping Cloud move & more…

SALFORD Quays-based fit-out specialist TSK is set to fit out more than 100,000 sq ft of office space across the UK and in Europe after securing three major contract wins in a month.

TSK has won jobs with human resources firm Towers Watson to design its 45,000 sq ft site in Amstelveen, Holland following the successful fit out of the business’ central Manchester office.

Another human resources business Ceridian has appointed TSK to design, fit-out and furnish its new 50,000 sq ft Glasgow office and contact centre. The firm will also fit-out a 12,000 sq ft office in the North East for outsourcing specialists Steria and its partner Cleveland Constabulary.

PROPERTY agent CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has been instructed on behalf of commercial property developer Segro to sell a one-acre site in Trafford Park.

The cleared site at Trafford Gateway is available for immediate development subject to planning consent.

Shaun Skidmore, director of leisure and alternative investment at CBRE, said: “We expect to see healthy interest in the site, particularly from hotel operators. Manchester is one of the UK’s most popular destinations for leisure travelers, with Manchester Airport seeing an annual increase in passenger numbers and hotel occupancy rates above the UK average. Furthermore, the site’s location is ideal for business use given its proximity to MediaCity UK and Manchester city centre.”

‘CLOUD’ computing firm Shaping Cloud has taken a 1,000 sq ft new office at the Digital World Centre opposite MediaCity at Salford Quays.

Founder Carlos Oliveira said: “Digital World is a great location for Shaping Cloud; we’re a growing business, so we needed somewhere easy to get to and with really good communications connections.”

The company syas it is dedicated to helping businesses make the most out of cloud computing – where clients store data remotely rather than on their own servers.

Designer menswear store, Tessuti, has opened at the Lowry Outlet Mall.

The business has taken a 3,160 sq ft unit at the front of the mall on the ground floor.

Formerly trading as Prima, who own Tessuti has experienced significant sales growth at their other retail outlets, and made the decision to bring the Tessuti brand to the Lowry Outlet Mall.

The opening makes this the fourth Tessuti store in the region, with other outlets in Chester, Cheshire Oaks and The Trafford Centre.

London-based Demick Shipping has appointed property consultant, Nolan Redshaw, to market an industrial site in Southport, Merseyside. 
 
The site, which offers 15,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation with a large secure yard, is situated on Crowland Street Industrial Estate in Southport. 
 
Demick is looking to dispose of its long leasehold interest or, alternatively, may consider sub-letting the property.
 
Mike Redshaw, director of Nolan Redshaw, said: “This site has excellent potential and we believe that it would be of great appeal to builders’ merchants, trade counters and all industrial type users. We expect to see strong interest in the site.”
