Andrew Porter wins £1m contract

REMOVALS and furniture logistics firm Andrew Porter has been awarded a major new contract by chair specialists HSL.
The new business is worth more than £1m and will involve the team making around 500 deliveries a week to customers across the UK. Andrew Porter’s annual turnover is £80m and it employs 80 people.
Managing director Tim Aspey said: “We have been steadily building our business since 1973 and although our customer base has changed during those years, what remains the same is our commitment to an excellent delivery service which satisfies every customer.”
Andrew Porter, based in Adlington, Lancashire, says it operates from the largest purpose-built distribution centre in the North West, comprising 300,000 sq ft of general warehousing and 35,000 sq ft of pallet storage space.
It carries out more than 3,000 home and retail deliveries a week for many major high street retailers, mail order companies and furniture manufacturers.
