Bank deal keeps holiday park in the family

ROYAL Bank of Scotland has loaned Brynteg Holiday Home Park (BHHP) £5.5m allowing the company to buy the park from Talacre Beach Holiday Resorts.
BHHP is owned by James McAllister. He has bought the park as part of a break-up of the Talacre Beach business, which is owned by his father James G McAllister.
He has sold three of the resorts in the Group to Darwin Leisure Property Fund, another site in Conwy to Pario Leisure Group and he has kept the Plas Coch park on the Isle of Anglesey.
Brynteg is based within the Snowdonia National Park which attracts around six million visitors a year.
McAllister Jr has said that he intends to build a portfolio of resorts in the area.
“We are delighted to have received this funding from RBS and to be able to realise our ambition of taking this park on,” he said.
John Csizmadia, relationship director for RBS Corporate & Institutional Banking, said: “We are pleased to support James as this local firm looks to expand.
“We have been impressed by their enthusiasm, experience and vision and look forward to strengthening our relationship with BHHP further as they pursue an exciting programme of growth.”
