Sudlows buys York Technology
MANCHESTER-based data centre operator Sudlows has acquired competitor firm York Technology Group for an undisclosed sum.
Sudlows will now incorporate York Technology Group into its own operations and has said that its combined operations will increase turnover to more than
£15m. Staff numbers will also increase to more than 140 people.
Sudlows is owned by a four-man management team led by current managing director John Collins, who joined the business as a 17-year old engineer before rising through the ranks to become managing director in 2005.
Last month, the company announced that it had won a major contract with The Co-Operative Group to build an energy efficient data centre for its new £300m headquarters in Manchester city centre.
