Comm Sec wins £2m contract

COMMUNITY Security Group (Commsec) has been subcontracted by City South Manchester Housing Trust to provide a concierge system for its Fulton Court, Hornchurch Court, Duffield Court and Royce Court schemes in Manchester.

This contract for Phase 2 of a three-phase project includes the design, manufacture and installation of automated vehicle and pedestrian gates at the same locations, which will be carried out by Commsec’s sister company Community Ironworks.

Commsec said that it would upgrade existing concierge systems within each block to a new GDx Concierge service which is directly monitored from its own control room.

The company has already completed the first phase of the project upgrading concierge systems at St. Georges Court, Thomas Court, Westcott Court and
Ledburn Court in Hulme.

Alongside the forthcoming third phase covering Hulme, Meredith and Hopton Courts, the total value of the project amounts to almost £2 million.

Commsec general manager, Marie Dunn, said: “We are regularly recommended as
a preferred contractor and we have consistently won multi-million pound tenders on the strength of our quality products, services and our vast experience in the housing sector.”
