Multibuild wins £5m worth of Midlands deals

MULTIBUILD, the Stockport-based contractor which was bought by Balfour Beatty last year, has secured two new leisure contracts for a hotel and a cinema in the Midlands worth a combined £5m.

The company won a £4.3m contract to carry out the design and build of a 112-bedroom Premier Inn in Solihull for P Win Properties. The five-storey hotel will be built using a part-steel, part-timber frame and the work will include external areas, bedroom fit-outs and the creation of new restaurant and bar areas to Premier Inn standards.

The company has also won a £630,000 contract to fit-out a five-screen cinema at Swadlincote in Derbyshire.

The 18-week contract will include the installation of timber floors, partitioning and internal walls, suspended ceilings including bulkheads to the foyer and all interior design features including decoration.
