MUSE Developments has sold a 6,500 sq ft office building at Cheadle Royal Business Park to Conferma – a virtual card payment technology specialist.

Conferma, which has 28 employees, expects to relocate from its existing Didsbury office within the next six- to-eight weeks.

Its office will be based at Oakfield 3, which is the most recent phase to complete at the long-running business park. Existing tenants include student accommodation specialist Mansion Group, Umbro, Jacobs Engineering and De Vere.

Wes Erlam, development surveyor at Muse Developments, said: “With more than 2,000 employees and 650,000 sq ft of high quality development, Cheadle Royal is the only business park in the North West to cater for such a diverse range of companies, from small-to-medium-sized enterprises to large multi-nationals.

“Conferma’s relocation to Oakfield 3 is testament to the park’s versatility and demonstrates its continued appeal amongst ambitious and expanding businesses. This is yet another locally-based company that has chosen to make the move to Grade A office space on the park.”

Oakfield 3 comprises five self-contained office buildings, ranging in size from 6,500 to 10,000 sq ft. Only one Building M – a 9,720 sq ft building designed by Bennett Architects remains available – either for sale or lease.

David Thwaites, head of office agency at Lambert Smith Hampton’s Manchester office, said: “Cheadle Royal is one of south Manchester’s leading business parks.  Its overwhelming success is largely attributable to its exceptional mix of high-quality accommodation, excellent staff amenities and its desirable location close to the airport.”

“We expect the final disposal to be completed before the end of the year.”

DTZ, Lambert Smith Hampton and Eversheds acted for Muse Developments.
