Property round-up: Funding Corporation re-signs in Chester; Hertel moves to Preston Brook; and more

THE Funding Corporation has signed a new 10-year lease on its 14,000 sq ft office in International House at Chester Business Park.
The motor vehicle finance specialist occupies the entire first floor of the building, plus part of the ground floor.
The company initially sub-let International House from Scottish Power Manweb, which occupied the entire building from 2006. Its new lease is directly with landlord Prospect.
International House serves as the headquarters of The Funding Corporation and the group’s subsidiary companies.
The Funding Corporation operates its headquarters from the building, including a national call centre, administration departments, training suites and management offices.
David Challinor, managing director of The Funding Corporation, said: “International House is ideally suited to a multi-faceted organisation such as ours, and has adapted easily to our changing requirements over the past six years, during which the company has experienced record growth in the non-prime lending sector.
“The building is a prestigious presence at Chester Business Park, and is often commented favourably upon by visitors. As a working environment, it combines the virtues of spaciousness with plenty of natural light and a modern ambience, all of which create excellent conditions for our staff.”
International House contains a total of 25,900 sq ft of office space. Suites from 5,575 sq ft to 11,754 sq ft are available on the soon-to-be refurbished 12,034 sq ft ground floor.
Prospect was represented in the deal by sole letting agent Legat Owen.
