5 things to do in North West this weekend

Billy Elliot
One of the most beloved shows, Billy Elliot is arriving is on stage at the Liverpool Empire this weekend. Set in a northern mining town against the background of the 1984/85 miners’ strike, Billy battles against the odds to make his dream come true after discovering his passion for dance that changes his life forever. Born Survivor
Capesthorne Hall in Siddington will play host to the Born Survivor course this weekend. The course isn’t for the faint hearted, with over 30 obstacles and a whole lot of mud, this event is set to test both your physical and mental ability. The Tatton Park Country Show
Head along to Tatton Park in Knutsford this weekend for a family country show and fair. The event, which is now in its fourth year, is set to have something for the whole family. Little Women
Elizabeth Gaskell’s House in Manchester are hosting a series of film evenings celebrating women writers this Spring and Summer. Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women will be the first to be shown at the venue and will also include free ice cream. The 1994 adaptation will be shown, which follows the March sisters deal with growing pains, family tragedies and romance. Find out more here.

The Wirral Walking Festival is back this month and is the perfect way to spend your weekend.
