Rochdale bowling alley snapped up by listed firm

Ten-pin bowling operator Ten Entertainment Group, which trades as Tenpin, has bought Strike 10 Bowl in Rochdale for an undisclosed sum.

The deal marks the Bedford headquartered company’s first acquisition since it listed on the stock market in April and is its third of the year so far, following its purchase of The Lanes in Eastbourne in February and Bowlplex in Blackburn in January.

All three will undergo a re-development and enhancement programme and operate under the Tenpin brand.

Ten Entertainment Group has said it will acquire two to four new sites each year, this acquisition being the third in 2017.

Alan Hand, chief executive, said: “Our two new sites at Blackburn and Eastbourne are undergoing our Tenpinisation transformation process which is proceeding in line with expectations. We now look forward to beginning the exciting process at Rochdale.”
