Gino D’Acampo and Next join forces

Fashion retailer Next is set to join forces with TV chef Gino D’Acampo.

The joint venture with Manchester-based Individual Restaurants will include opening Prosecco bars and restaurants in Next stores.

Gino opened his first restaurant in Corn Exchange, Manchester, in December 2015. He is now planning to open his first restaurant in partnership with Next in the retailer’s current out of town store in Kingswood Retail Park in Hull.

He will then open one within Next’s largest store in Manchester Arndale, which is currently undergoing refurbishment. Both restaurants are due to open this November.

A Gino spokesperson said: “Gion D’Acampo not only serves great Italian food, his price points are accessible to all, which is a great fit for Next.”

The partnership between Gino and Next will be aided by Steven Walker, founder of Individual Restaurants, who aims to provide the services to ensure delivery is of the highest standard.

The restaurants within the Next stores will feature an open kitchen, deli bar, a book and grocery store as well as a Prosecco bar. The store in Hull will also include a large al fresco dining space and will seat over 200 guests.
