Folk Festival
Liverpool’s Folk Festival returns to the Albert Dock this weekend for its second year. The event is set to celebrate Liverpool’s rich musical heritage and over 200 folk, roots and acoustic performers are set to take to the stage. Legendary radio presenter Janice Long will be hosting the event and visitors can expect to enjoy music from award-winning band Moulettes, Wildwood Kin and from former Coral guitarist Lee Southall. Bolton Food and Drink Festival
Bolton’s Victoria Square will become home to the town’s food and drink festival this weekend. There will be a live cookery theatre with a whole host of celebrity chefs taking to the stage, including James Martin, Simon Rimmer and Ainsley Harriot. There will also be food and drink stalls, an arts and crafts fair, beer and cider traders, kids activities and beer and cider traders. Find out more here.

Creamfields
The UK’s biggest dance music festival returns to Cheshire this weekend. Taking place on the Daresbury Estate, the festival is set to welcome over 70,000 people, and also has 30 stages across the weekend. This year’s line-up includes Stormzy, Pete Tong, Chase and Status, Annie Mac deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Fatboy Slim and Paul van Dyk, as well as many more. Find out more here.

Manchester Pride
Manchester Pride festival returns this weekend. Across the weekend, there will be The Big Weekend at the Gay Village, the Pride Parade on the streets of the city centre and the candlelit vigil in Sackville Park. Burnley Canal Festival
Head along to Sandygate Square in Burnley this weekend to enjoy the canal festival. Taking place from 11am until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday, there will be live music and entertainment, dance and performances, craft stalls, workshops to get involved in and a fun fair for the whole gang to enjoy. The Cavern 60th anniversary concert
As part of International Beatleweek, The Cavern are celebrating 60 years of the venue. It was put firmly on the world’s musical map back in the 1960s when The Beatles played 292 gigs at the venue, and the Liverpool Philharmonic will be celebrating on Monday with a specially commissioned show presented by The Overtures, the UK’s premiere 60s band. Tequila Festival
Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester are celebrating all things tequila on Saturday. Taking place from 1pm until 11pm, visitors will take part in a Tequila tasting journey with over 30 tequilas to try. Whilst learning about the history and culture of the drink, there will also be Mexican food to enjoy, as well as live music and entertainment, including traditional Mexican dancers.
