Forrest appoints ex-Carillion chief as CEO

Bolton contractor Forrest has announced the appointment of new chief executive Mark Nicholson.

He will start his new role on October 9. He joins from Carillion where he was managing director – building (Scotland, North Midlands/SouthWest), a post he held for 10 years.

Prior to that he was regional managing director for both Bovis Lend Lease (UK) and Jarvis Construction. He is a qualified chartered surveyor.

During his tenure at Carillion, Nicholson was instrumental in the construction of a series of major UK, and in particular North West projects, including Greater Manchester Police HQ, the BCO award winning 1 St Peter’s Square, the new main stand at Anfield and the major redevelopment of First Street in Manchester.
