Warrington hotel acquired by OPH

Paddington House

GVA has successfully completed the sale of the Paddington House Hotel in Warrington for an undisclosed sum.

The established hotel two miles from the town centre on the busy A57, has been sold to experienced regional hotel operator Raju Handa of OPH Hotels Limited.

The hotelier is adding the 37-bedroom conference and banqueting venue to his property portfolio. Handa also owns and operates The Dean Hotel and Quarterz Serviced Apartments in Chester.

GVA’s hotel and leisure team acted on behalf of the seller Zaman Hotels PVT .

Martin Davis, director of the team at Manchester’s GVA office, said: “This established and well-located property provides a fantastic opportunity for the new owners to enhance and further develop trade.

“The deal was arranged by way of a relatively low-key marketing campaign which demonstrates the continued demand for good quality hotel assets in the north of England.

“This transaction may be of interest to other hotel owners who would like to consider selling their hotels but are concerned of the affect that the process of finding a buyer may have on their business.”

Advised by GVA, Zaman Hotels sold the hotel as part of their ongoing strategic plans to grow and develop their hotel business in other locations.

New owner Handa said: “The hotel is well positioned to take advantage of busy mid-week corporate trade as well as weekend leisure business and fits in well with our other businesses in the North West.”
