Missguided hires former Shop Direct exec

Manchester-based retailer Missguided has hired former Shop Direct group ecommerce director Jonathan Wall as chief digital officer.

It was announced in August that Wall was leaving Liverpool’s Shop Direct following seven years with the digital retailer.

He joined the business as group ecommerce director in 2010 from Flowersdirect.co.uk, where he had been chief executive.

At Shop Direct, he oversaw online operations across the retail group’s websites, including Very and Littlewoods.

Missguided, founded by Nittin Passi in 2008, reported that revenue at Missguided increased by 75% to £206m in the 12 months to March 2017.

International sales grew by 130% and now account for more than 40% of the total business.
