Knight Knox launches new waterfront development
Property consultancy Knight Knox has launched Bridgewater Wharf in Salford, its 30th development in partnership with Fortis Developments.
The waterfront scheme between Manchester city centre and Salford Quays is the latest of 85 projects to be launched by Knight Knox across the UK and will bring a total of 376 apartments to the market.
Spread over eight storeys, the development will offer a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a selection of large townhouses.
Construction on-site is expected to commence in early 2018, with completion scheduled for Q1 2020.
Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, said: “We’re really excited to expand our portfolio of developments in this area with the launch of Bridgewater Wharf.
“With previous properties such as Bridgewater Point and Bridgewater Gate already creating a busy residential gateway between Manchester city centre and the increasingly popular Salford Quays and MediaCityUK, we’re certain that this launch will come as positive news to potential buyers.
“The last 12 months has really seen both Manchester and Salford go from strength to strength and we see no signs of this slowing down in the new year.
“We’re confident that the addition of Bridgewater Wharf will help release some pressure on the flourishing local rental market.”
Residents at Bridgewater Wharf will benefit from on-site amenities including a private residents’ lounge, modern gym, secure bicycle storage and parking on select units. The development will also boast electric charging points for cars.
Kieran Moore, director at Fortis Developments, said: “With an ongoing shortage of high-quality rental accommodation in both Salford and Manchester, we’re sure that Bridgewater Wharf will appeal to the large number of young professionals moving into the area.
“The contemporary design and spacious interiors of the apartments at Bridgewater Wharf, along with the waterfront location, really make this development stand out against the competition and make it a premier investment and rental opportunity.”
