Join the Dots celebrates landmark anniversary

Manchester-based market research agency Join the Dots has celebrated its 20th anniversary with double digit growth.

The Northern Quarter company, which underwent a management buyout in May, 2017 led by managing director Quentin Ashby, was recently announced as one of the top five fastest growing agencies in the 2016 Market Research Society League Tables, having achieved growth of 26%.

It was the company’s fifth consecutive year of 20%-plus growth. Join the Dots reported turnover of £9.8m in 2016 and will have passed the £10m mark in 2017.

Formed in 1998, Join the Dots boasts a multi-national portfolio of clients including British Airways, GSK, Diageo, Unilever, Nationwide, The Co-operative and the BBC.

Ashby said, “Ours is very much a people business and our longevity bears testament to the team’s commitment to delivering only the very best for our clients.

“Our business is also very much about people in that everything that we do is focused on understanding people and helping our clients to make better business decisions through that understanding.

“Over the past 20 years we have continually innovated our services and now focus on joining the dots between our clients’ business needs, the best technologies and primary research approaches and our in-depth understanding of the consumer world.”

Join the Dots employs 140 people. The company opened an office in Singapore in 2016. This international expansion was followed with the opening of a New York office in 2017.

Ashby added: “We are very much looking forward to continuing to bring innovation to the sector, challenging ourselves to gain an even better understanding of consumers for our clients.”
