Historic Cumbria hotel with scope for further development for sale for £3m-plus

A historic Cumbrian hotel is being marketed by real estate adviser Savills for a guide price of more than £3m.

Loveday County House Hotel in Alston is being sold with planning permission agreed for a sympathetic refurbishment and additional development, creating up to 38 holiday lets with leisure and spa facilities.

Situated in the North Pennines, the building dates back to the Georgian era. The main house and existing collection of converted barn accommodation within the grounds have consent for refurbishment as 22 holiday lets, while a further 16 new build holiday homes can also be created.

Lovelady Country House Hotel is located 16 miles from the A69, which links Carlisle with Newcastle upon Tyne, and 22 miles north west of Junction 40 of the M6.
