Country house hotel goes on market for undisclosed amount

A country house hotel in the heart of the northern Pennines has been put up for sale.

Lovelady Shield Country House Hotel in Alston, Cumbria, is being marketed by national property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall.

The firm has been appointed alongside joint agents, Savills. The asking price for the Georgian country house hotel has not been made public.

The property, currently includes a 15 double bedroom Georgian Country House Hotel, four barn cottages providing an additional 17 bedrooms, along with an AA Rosette standard restaurant.

The site has also been granted planning permission for an exclusive redevelopment opportunity of 38 holiday lets.
