Napthens solicitors’ Cumbrian team is planning for future expansion with a move to new, larger premises following a year of growth.

The team, based at Bridge Mills, Stramongate in Kendal, has relocated to larger premises within the building, in a development that gives the business the opportunity to continue its growth.

Over the 12 months to April 2018, the Cumbrian team saw fee income grow 30%, and staff numbers by 20%. Further appointments are expected to be announced in the coming months.

The new facilities taken by Napthens are twice the size of its current offices, and Jamie Allison, head of the Cumbrian team and real estate for the firm said the opportunity represented the chance to begin ‘Phase Two’ of the firm’s plans for the county.

Jamie, who also sits on the board of Kendal Futures, the town’s regeneration partnership, explained: “This move gives us huge potential for future growth. The floor space is double our existing offices, and it really does mark a new chapter for us.

“In just a few short years Napthens has placed itself firmly on the map in Cumbria’s business community, and we’re attracting both great clients onto our books and also great new staff who want to work with us.

“We’re certainly not resting on our laurels, and over the next 12 months and beyond we will be both focusing on our existing clients and also looking to build our pipeline of work.”

He added: “This is particularly true for clients in the agricultural, tourism and leisure sectors, as well as acting for landowners and developers. We believe these markets offer us great potential for growth.

“Meanwhile, we are continuing our recruitment and will be announcing new appointments in various roles within the team in the near future.”
