Property and construction consultants smash through £3bn mark

Ask Real Estate’s Embankment project

The Manchester office of property and construction consultants Ridge and Partners has broken through the £3bn mark with its latest contract win.

The multi-disciplinary consultancy’s project management team has been appointed by Langtree to advise on Project Violet, a £12m science and innovation campus project scheduled for completion in 2020.

The win takes the capital value of the projects being supported by the firm’s 30-strong Manchester team to more than £3bn.

“It’s been a strong year and testament to the team’s performance that we’ve reached such a substantial milestone,” said partner Lucy Osborne.

Other major projects being supported by Ridge from Manchester include the project management of the tram system extension in the West Midlands, the design of the electrical infrastructure for the proposed 1m sq ft redevelopment of Parkside Colliery for developer Langtree, the nationwide rolling refurbishment programme of the McDonald’s retail estate, along with numerous prestigious high-rise residential and commercial developments within Manchester city centre, including Ask Real Estate’s Embankment project.

“2019 looks to be in good shape, despite the political headwinds,” said Lucy.

“Our focus will remain on client service and performance, as that has been key to the high levels of repeat business we enjoy.”

Along with its Liverpool office in Exchange Flags, Ridge has more than 600 staff advising clients across a range of disciplines, including project management, building surveying, civil and structural engineering, expert witness services and cost management.
