Lighthouse to shine at Salford Quays

The Lighthouse, Salford Quays

A landmark building in Salford Quays is undergoing a major transformation.

Knight Frank has been appointed as letting agents for Lighthouse which was acquired by Squarestone Growth in 2017.

The building is currently undergoing a substantial programme of improvements which will provide facilities for cyclists, the creation of new marketing suites and a refurbished double height and galleried entrance with tenant break out areas and visitor seating.

Further improvements will be made to both the front and rear of the building.

The building currently offers one of the largest Grade A floorplates in Salford Quays at 17,115 sq ft and also a unique penthouse rotunda suite of just 1,750 sq ft with panoramic views towards MediaCityUK.

Both third and fourth floors have private balconies with extensive views.

Lighthouse sits next to the Salford Quays Metrolink stop with direct services to Manchester city centre every six minutes and the building also benefits from a secure dedicated multi-storey car park.

Matt Shufflebottom, senior surveyor at Knight Frank, said: “Lighthouse ticks all the boxes when it comes to location with great transport links and a host of facilities on the doorstep.

“It offers one of the largest floorplates in the area alongside one of the smallest ensuring Lighthouse can provide office space for a true range of occupiers.

“The on-going refurbishment works are directly for the benefit of the occupier and will create a fantastic working environment.”

Paul Coulter, Squarestone Growth founding partner, commented: “We are currently undertaking a full refurbishment of this iconic building at Salford Quays to fully reposition it in the local market.

“After completing a similar project in Leeds within the last twelve months where Knight Frank were instrumental in attracting strong tenants their Manchester office were a natural choice when looking for new lettings advisors to join the team at Lighthouse.

“I am confident that their enthusiasm, expertise and dedication will secure lettings on the final remaining suites to complement current occupiers Engie and Pearsons Education.”

Knight Frank are joint agents with Canning O’Neill and JLL.
