Insurance broker makes Manchester move

Insurance broker Lockton has kick-started 2019 with a move to larger offices in Manchester.

Lockton, which has 1,100 associates in the UK and offices in 125 countries, has moved 50 staff to 3 Piccadilly Place and said the relocation provides the space for future growth.

The firm used workspace specialist TSK for the office fit-out.

Matt Davies, partner at Lockton Companies, said: “The Lockton family see the UK and in particular, the North West as a vibrant business community, are excited about the opportunities that exist and want to support our growth plans. With their backing, we were determined to use this as an opportunity to review the way we work, how cutting edge technology could be best integrated and how we could invest for the future for the benefit of our clients and our associates.

“We wanted to create a collaborative environment to help us to retain and attract the very best people in the insurance industry. TSK worked with us to engage with our associates throughout the process and since moving into the space, the feedback received has been nothing but positive.”

Ashley Smith, account director at TSK, said: “There has been great feedback from the team since moving into their new workplace. We’re delighted to have provided an environment that will help build the business’ next chapter of its success story in the region, which is hugely rewarding for our team who co-created this space with the client.”

This latest appointment for TSK comes on the back of recent projects including Irwin Mitchell’s offices in St Peter’s Square, Weightmans in Birmingham and Manchester, as well as AJ Bell’s 4 Exchange Quay (EQ4) which received global recognition for creating a high-performance headquarters.
