Accrington-based Total Pipeline Systems has acquired new, larger premises in Empress Mill, Clayton-le-Moors, following £290,000 in funding from Santander Business Banking.

The firm is one of the North West’s leading suppliers of drainage products, waste pipes, gutters and ducting.

The new building is double the size of the bunsiness’s previous rented site in Accrington, and will allow the team at TPS to hold three times as much stock, as well as interact directly with customers for the first time via a trade counter.

The relocation will see the addition of four jobs at the business.

Established in 2013 by Richard White, TPS sells to construction firms, builders and other North West businesses, with 90% of its sales distributed directly to its customers.

The firm has grown rapidly over the past five years, with continued year-on-year growth and expansion, with 2018 being a record year for the business.

Managing director Richard White said: “Total Pipeline Systems has grown very strongly due the firm’s wide range of stock and our focus on developing long-term customer relationships.

“The new premises will allow us to keep more stock while the trade counter is a significant step forwards. The support from Santander has been key to our expansion plans and helping us to realise our growth ambitions.”

Robert Dolan, relationship director, Santander Business Banking, said: “We’re delighted to support Richard and the team at TPS to make this move to larger premises and allow the business to take a significant upwards step in terms of capacity and potential future growth.

“Santander Business Banking is dedicated to helping SMEs such as Total Pipeline Systems to seize these sorts of opportunities.”
