City centre e-sports club brought to market

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has brought to the market Horizon, a high-end e-sports club and gaming café in Liverpool.

Located close to the Knowledge Quarter and the University of Liverpoo, the business is offered for sale, on a leasehold basis, at an asking price of £99,950.

The business occupies the first, second and third floors of a four-storey, Georgian-style end terrace property on Hardman Street in the city centre and mixes traditional and atmospheric décor with high end luxury technology to offer the city’s e-sport community a hub for social gatherings, gaming and tournaments.

Horizon is owned and operated by a local developer and entrepreneur, who has run the business for the past two years and is now seeking a sale in order to focus on their other business interests within the property market.

They said: “E-sports is extremely popular in Asia and other parts of Europe and is growing fast in the UK.

“We knew that there was a market in the city, and that the local gaming community would benefit from a central hub to promote the social element of gaming.

“Horizon’s popularity is growing, and the response we have gotten from customers is fantastic.

“The club attracts customers of all genders, ages, and walks of life, as we have worked hard to change the perception that gaming is just for boys, whilst providing a place for people to meet others with similar interests.”

Ashley Cobban, business agent at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Horizon has been fitted out to a high standard and in a unique style throughout.

“Taken together with its proven ability to generate revenue and the fact that it has no direct competition within Liverpool city centre, the business presents an ideal lifestyle opportunity for a potential purchaser with a love for video games.”
