10-year deal makes Spectrum longest serving tenant

Spectrum, which distributes diagnostic and surgical products for eyecare, has signed a new 10-year lease at Orbit Developments’ Fernbank House at Tytherington Business Village.
This new lease confirms them as the longest serving tenant on the site, being the first occupier on the development back in 1994.
Spectrum is the largest independent ophthalmology distributor in the UK and was set up in 1988, currently employing 33 people across UK and Eire, with 15 based at Tytherington.
Supporting more than half of the UK hospitals for their cataract and Vitreoretinal surgery, and one of the largest suppliers of Intra Ocular Lenses, it has been at the forefront of innovation for the past 30 years, with a large number of staff having been with the company for more than 20 years.
Managing director, Ian Snelson, said the office location has helped them with recruitment. He said: “We chose Fernbank House due to its location in the heart of Cheshire and its availability of high-quality staff.
“We’ve always felt at home here and recruitment is made easier due to the property’s flexibility and pleasant surroundings.”
Benn Dickinson, leasing surveyor from Orbit Developments, said: “We are delighted Spectrum have extended their lease and look forward to supporting the future growth and success of this leading and specialised business.”
