Two major trade shows move to established NW venue
EventCity, the largest exhibition, conference and multi-purpose venue in the North of England, has announced it is to host CHEMUK for the first time, launch the Security & Installers Show later this year, and welcome back the Outdoor Trade Show.
Sales manager Sue Dodds said: “It’s testament to our fantastic team to be welcoming another year of growth and we’re delighted to host such a wide variety of shows.”
The CHEMUK Show will be brought to EventCity, in Trafford Park, in May 2020.
Representing the UK’s national chemical industries supply chain expo and speaker programme it will bring together more than 3,000 attendees from all segments of the industrial chemicals, formulated products and biochemical process industries.
Ian Stone, managing director of organisers UK Industry Events, said: “It’s a really exciting time for us as we take CHEMUK to its next level of growth, and we wanted our chosen venue to reflect that.
“We required a larger, flexible blank canvas space to ensure we could take next year’s show to the next level, and EventCity is the perfect location.
“Being in TraffordCity, there are plenty of hotels nearby for attendees, as well as fantastic accessibility to key chemical and industrial hubs and great links to Manchester Airport.”
A further business win sees SiX launch at EventCity in November this year.
The show will educate and offer support to system integrators and security installers, assuring attendees are updated with valuable information that can help them maximise the potential of systems and solutions for their customers, as well as highlighting best practice and emerging opportunities in the market.
Andy Clutton, editor at Professional Security Installer (PSI), said: “When we decided to host an installer-focused event, we knew we needed to consider the location of the show carefully.
“Given the rich installer base and heritage that the North West has to offer, coupled with the central location of Manchester, it was clear that we should opt for EventCity as our venue.”
The Outdoor Trade Show, the UK’s only large scale outdoor sport and leisure-focused trade show, will also exhibit for the second consecutive year this July, after a successful event in 2018.
The string of successes follows the venue having enjoyed its most successful financial year to date. This comes after a £3bn investment into the venue and surrounding TraffordCity, which sees the arrival of the Metrolink in early 2020.
